Authority issues notification in this regard

Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) hiked the power tariff by Rs1.74 per unit, squeezing further the pockets of the masses.
According to a notification, the recent hike has been made under the quarterly adjustments between September and November 2024. The recent increase will apply to all distribution companies (DISCOs) and K-Electric.
The rent hike will create an additional burden of Rs43.23 billion on the people of Pakistan.
