Police worker, cop killed in Bajur attack
Unidentified gunmen open fire a field team
Bajur: A polio worker and a policeman were killed in an attack on a polio team in the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, police said.
The polio team was attacked in Tehsil Mamond of Bajaur. Unknown people opened fire on the polio team, resulting in the deaths of polio worker Abu Hurairah, 25, and police officer Luqman, 33.
Rescue 1122 officials immediately reached the spot and shifted the bodies to District Hospital Khar.
The incident took place when the polio team was performing its duties. As soon as the firing was reported, the security personnel reached the scene and conducted a search operation in search of the suspects.
