Price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs1,700 per tola on the first day of the business week
Karachi: The prices of gold in international and local markets have reached the highest level in history.
The price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs1,700 per tola on the first day of the business week, reaching a new high of Rs2,68,000.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold in the country has also increased by Rs1,458, reaching the highest level of Rs229,767.
On the other hand, gold price rose by $10 per ounce in the international bullion market to hit a new global high of $2,587 per ounce.
In contrast to the big hike in gold prices at the global and local level, the price of silver in the country remained unchanged at Rs2,950 on Monday and the price of silver per 10 grams also remained unchanged at Rs2,529.14.
