Khalistan leader accuses Indian officials of orchestrating the plan
Washington: A U.S. court has summoned India's National Security Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval, in connection with an alleged assassination plot against Khalistan leader, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
The case, filed by Pannun, accuses Indian officials, including Doval and members of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), of orchestrating the plan.
Pannun, a key figure in the "Sikhs for Justice" group, claims that his advocacy for Khalistan and efforts to conduct referendums for the region’s independence have made him a target. He presented evidence suggesting RAW's involvement in the conspiracy to assassinate him.
The court filing highlights ongoing threats to those advocating for self-determination, with Pannun alleging that Indian authorities aim to silence voices condemning the Modi government's human rights violations. Pannun also vowed to continue holding Khalistan referendum votes globally, despite the risks, stating that he is prepared to face any consequences, including death.
The case brings renewed international focus to India’s alleged covert operations and growing concerns about its actions in foreign territories.
