Atta Tarar criticizes KP Chief Minister, calls him 'inept'
Information Minister expresses concern over Gandapur’s recent threats
Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday, accusing him of being "inept" in governing the province.
In his statement, Tarar expressed concern over Gandapur’s recent threats, stating, "Issuing a threat to attack Punjab is an attempt to repeat the events of May 9. Gandapur has escalated from hurling abuses to threatening violence. Such actions will only harm him, not others."
Tarar emphasized that the KP government’s approach lacks democratic values, pointing out that Gandapur hasn't focused on competing with other provinces in areas such as healthcare, employment, or economic development. "It would be better for the KP government to bring about a revolution in health, education, and public welfare," he added.
He also criticized Gandapur’s handling of corruption and governance, stating, "Corruption and incompetence dominate in KP. The real challenge was to provide relief to power consumers, and Gandapur has failed in that regard."
Tarar further attacked the PTI leadership, accusing them of being uncomfortable with the country's improving economy. "PTI, which brought the country to the brink of default, is now struggling to accept that the economy is recovering," Tarar remarked.
