Court ordered the extension of the interim bails of the accused till October 30


Lahore: The court extended the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's sisters, opposition leader Omar Ayub, Asad Umar and others in the cases related to May 9.
A hearing was conducted on the interim bails of the accused in the May 9 tragedy cases at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore, in which the court ordered the extension of the interim bails of the accused till October 30.
An exemption from attendance plea was filed by of nine accused including Omar Ayub and Asad Umar in the court. In the same way, Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, Hafiz Farhat, Azam Swati, Bilal Ejaz, Ali Imtiaz had also filed the same application.
It was stated in the petition that Asad Umar and Omar Ayub could not appear due to ill health. Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan cannot appear due to being arrested in Islamabad. Hafiz Farhat Abbas cannot appear due to the death of a relative.
In the application filed in the court, it was further stated that Azam Khan Swati could not appear due to his arrest in the Islamabad case. The Assembly member Bilal Ijaz cannot appear due to dengue fever and Ali Imtiaz also due to severe fever.
