Maryam Nawaz seeks details of illegal housing schemes
Proposal to ban the sale of plot files on illegal housing schemes was also reviewed
Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz sought details of illegal housing schemes from Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in which a detailed review of LDA development was reviewed. The proposal to ban the sale of plot files on illegal housing schemes was also reviewed. Director General (DG) LDA was directed to submit the report within 15 days.
In the meeting, development institutions were also directed to present a comprehensive plan with cooperation to fill potholes of roads in Lahore.
Chief Minister was given a detailed briefing about the ‘Lahore Shop and Drop Tramway’. A briefing was also given about the construction project of the special road from Karim Block to the Motorway, and the proposal to demolish the Data Nagar flyover due to exhaustion was reviewed. The LDA Road Network Restructuring Plan was also taken up and presented.
The briefing informed that the 8.2 km long tram will pass through Kalma Chowk, Main Boulevard, Hussain Chowk, MM Alam Road, Mini Market and other areas. Five trams will be run simultaneously and will be available every two minutes at each stop.
Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari, Vice Chairman LDA Mian Marghub Ahmed, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary Housing, DG LDA and other members attended the meeting.
