Italian Ambassador and senior officials of the Navy met the Commander Pakistan Fleet


Rawalpindi: Italian Navy's aircraft carrier CAVOUR and frigate ALPINO visited Pakistan.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Department of Pakistan Army, CAVOUR is the first aircraft carrier of Italy to arrive at Karachi port.

Along with the Italian ship, high officials of the Italian Navy and a delegation of the defense industry also visited Karachi.
According to ISPR, Commander Karachi Vice Admiral Faisal Abbasi visited the Italian aircraft carrier. The Italian Ambassador and senior officials of the Navy met the Commander Pakistan Fleet. Issues of mutual interest and future maritime partnership were discussed during the meeting.

During the visit, Pakistan Navy and the Italian Aircraft Carrier Strike Group, including the advanced F-35 Lightning II fighter jets, will also conduct various exercises.
On this occasion, the Italian ambassador said that the Pakistan Navy is the main naval force of the region and there are bright prospects for Pakistan-Italy economic and defense cooperation.
