Lahore's air harmful to health, still tops most polluted cities

Lahore: Due to the smog-laden winds coming from India, the atmosphere of Lahore started to become unhealthy.

In terms of pollution, the provincial capital Lahore is still ranked first in the world, with an average smog rate of 378 recorded in the city.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Syed Maratab Ali Road area of ​​Lahore is 515 while the AQI of DHA is 507.

Due to the increasing air pollution in the city, diseases like sore throat, difficulty breathing, and eye irritation are increasing.

Medical experts instructed the citizens to wear masks for going out, keep the windows and doors of their houses closed, avoid unnecessary travel, and check the AQI while leaving the houses.

On the other hand, according to the Department of Meteorology, the minimum temperature of Lahore today is expected to reach 22 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius. The wind speed was recorded at 8km per hour while the humidity in the air reached 81 percent.
