Lahore ranks first in air pollution
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that they will use artificial rain in consultation with meteorological experts
Lahore: The provincial capital Lahore ranked first among the most polluted cities in the world on Wednesday.
The American Meteorological Agency warned that the smog situation is likely to worsen in the next three days due to strong winds.
According to the American Air Index, Lahore's pollution index may be 600 to 700 on November 6, 7 and 8. Smog-polluted winds coming from India from east to west are affecting Lahore and adjacent areas.
Meanwhile, Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb appealed to the citizens to strictly follow precautionary measures for the next three days and said that they will use the option of artificial rain in consultation with meteorological experts.
She further said that the smog would be blocked with full force. Citizens can file a complaint on 1373 and use the Green App for violation of environmental laws.
