Lahore is the second most polluted city in Pakistan as per AQI


Multan: Multan also ranked first among the most polluted cities in Pakistan at night, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeding 1,900.
Lahore is the second most polluted city in Pakistan as per AQI, while many cities in Punjab and KP are also affected by fog and smog.
Meanwhile, due to fog and smog, Motorway M1 from Charsadda to Akbarpura, Motorway M2 from Lahore to Kot Sarwar, Motorway M3 from Samundri to Darkhana and M4 from Pindi Bhatian to Abdul Hakeem have been closed for all traffic.
Motorway M5 from Shershah to Jhangara and Lahore-Sialkot Motorway are also closed to traffic.
It is pertinent to note that to deal with the problem of smog in different cities of Punjab, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered to close the markets across Punjab at 8:00pm and on Sundays as well.
In 18 districts of the smog-affected four divisions, all recreational facilities, including sports grounds, museums, and zoos, will also remain closed till November 17.
Meanwhile, Lahore Walled City Authority has also suspended all tourism and entertainment programs and events in the city till November 17.
