Two more kids infected with polio in Pakistan, number reaches 52
Polio-infected children are from Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
DI Khan: Two more children have been infected with the polio virus in Pakistan.
Officials said that the polio-infected children are from Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They stated that a three-year-old girl and an 18-month-old boy were disabled by polio in Tehsil Darazandha DI Khan, after which the number of children infected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has increased to 13.
In this regard, officials further said that the highest number of children infected with polio are in Balochistan, where 24 children have been disabled by polio, while 13 have been infected with the virus in Sindh so far, and one child each in Punjab and Islamabad.
Officials also stated that after the arrival of two new cases, the number of children infected with the polio virus in the country has increased to 52.
