Physical remand of journalist Matiullah suspended
Petition stated that Matiullah Jan was arrested in a false and fabricated case
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday suspended the decision on the physical remand of journalist Matiullah Jan.
The petition against Matiullah Jan's two-day physical remand was heard by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir.
Advocate Iman Mazari filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court against the physical remand of Matiullah Jan.
The petition has taken the position that Matiullah Jan was arrested in a false and fabricated case. The hearing on the petition against the physical remand should be held today.
Advocate Iman Mazari further said that if the hearing is not held today but tomorrow or Monday, then their petition will become ineffective.
