Pension of a 55-year-old person will be reduced by 10 percent


Lahore: The Punjab government has approved amendments to the Pension Rules, which will come into effect from December 2, 2024.
According to the details, after the Punjab government approves the amendments to the Pension Rules, those who retire automatically will get less pension.
According to the notification issued by the Punjab Finance Department yesterday, the pension of a 59-year-old person who retires early will be reduced by 2 percent and the pension of a 58-year-old person will be reduced by 4 percent.
Similarly, the pension of a 57-year-old person who retires early will be reduced by 6 percent and the pension of a 56-year-old person will be reduced by 8 percent, while the pension of a 55-year-old person will be reduced by 10 percent.
The amendments have also stopped the increments received from 2011, 2015 and 2022.
