Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump nominated University of Maryland professor Michael Faulkner as his deputy secretary of the Treasury.
According to US media reports, Donald Trump said in a statement on social media that he will now run the ‘America First’ agenda. Michael Faulkner is a prominent economist and policy practitioner. Trump has selected Gail Slater as deputy attorney general for the Antitrust Division.
Earlier, President-elect Trump appointed Charles Kushner, father of his son-in-law Jared Kushner, as US ambassador to France.
According to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation, Trump had announced that he had selected Charles Kushner as ambassador to France.
Charles Kushner is a real estate developer and the father of Jared Kushner, who is the husband of his daughter Ivanka Trump. Charles Kushner served a year in prison for tax evasion, which Trump later pardoned in the final days of his first term.
