US authorities issued tsunami warning for coastal areas of California and southern Oregon


California: After the earthquake in the US state of California, people panicked and left their homes.
According to the US Seismological Center, the earthquake's magnitude was 7.0, while the depth was recorded at 10 kilometers and the earthquake's epicenter was in southwestern California.
US authorities issued a tsunami warning for the coastal areas of California and southern Oregon along with the earthquake. The tsunami warning was later withdrawn, but the aftershocks continued.
According to media reports, after the tsunami warning, a large number of people began moving to safer places, which caused traffic jams on the roads.
According to foreign media, the power system was partially suspended in the affected areas after the earthquake, affecting more than 10,000 people.
According to the US Power Outage Tracking Website, 10 percent of the 99,000 consumers in the coastal area of California lost power after the earthquake.
California State Senator Mike McGuire said that rescue teams have been dispatched for emergency operations and will participate in relief activities along with local rescue personnel in the affected areas of Humboldt and Del Norte counties.
California Governor Gavin Newsom said that meetings with state emergency officials are ongoing, and an operations center has been established for relief activities at the state level.
According to American media, data on damage or deaths from the earthquake is still being collected, and no reports of any loss of life or property have been received so far.
