New VPN registration facility for freelancers

Islamabad: The government has provided a new VPN registration facility for freelancers in the country.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) provided the facility of VPN registration through a mobile number, after which freelancers who do not have a static IP address will be able to register a VPN through a mobile number using this facility.

Freelancers can register their mobile number with PTA to use VPN on their mobile data connection. The link for registration: https://ipregistration.pta.gov.pk will be used.

According to PTA, this facility has been made to simplify the VPN registration process for the promotion of the IT sector. So far, more than 31,000 VPNs have been registered through PTA.
