He kept demanding expensive watches, jewelry, and luxury car from girl


Bengaluru: In India, a young man filmed private videos and photos of his girlfriend and blackmailed her for INR25 million (PKR843.674 million).
According to Indian media, the police have arrested a 22-year-old youth from Bengaluru, Mohan Kumar, on charges of blackmailing a girl and extorting millions of rupees.
According to the police, the boy and the 20-year-old girl were in a relationship. Both studied together, but after graduation, their contact was cut off. The two met each other after many years and their relationship resumed.
Police said that the accused Mohan promised to marry the girl and took her on a trip where he made indecent videos and photos of the girl and promised to keep them private.
Police officials stated that after returning from the trip, he started blackmailing the girl and demanding money from her. The girl, fearing that her private photos and videos would be leaked, gave the boy INR25.7 million over a few months.
According to the police, the girl first transferred INR12.5 million from her grandmother's account to Mohan Kumar's account. Later, the girl also gave INR13.2 million in cash to the accused on various occasions. Not only this, the accused Mohan Kumar kept demanding expensive watches, jewelry, and a luxury car from the girl.
When the girl got fed up with Mohan Kumar's demands, she filed a case with the Bengaluru police, who arrested the accused and started investigating the incident.
Police officials added that this is a well-planned crime in which the accused extorted more than INR25 million from the girl through blackmail, out of which INR8 million have been recovered.
