Temperature in Murree during last 24 hours was recorded at one degree Celsius
Murree: Intermittent snowfall in Murree and Galiyat has stopped, while water froze on the Neelum River due to severe cold in Grace Valley of Azad Kashmir.
According to the Meteorological Department, after the snowfall stopped in Murree, the sun started shining, but cold winds continued. The number of tourists has increased to enjoy the cold weather in Murree, while all the roads and ways to Murree are open.
The Meteorological Department says that the temperature in Murree during the last 24 hours was recorded at one degree Celsius.
On the other hand, the weather is likely to be cold in most parts of the country and extremely cold in the mountainous areas. Fog is also expected at a few places in Islamabad, Pothohar region and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the morning.
According to the Meteorological Department, fog may remain in the plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Due to fog, the motorway from Kot Momin to Lalla Interchange has been closed for heavy vehicles.
Meanwhile, the motorway M2 from Thokar Niaz Baig to Babu Sabu, the motorway M3 from Samundri to Darkhana and the M4 from Pindi Bhattian to Multan are closed due to fog.
