New Year celebrations were also held in Rawalpindi and Lahore


As the New Year started, magnificent fireworks were displayed in various cities including Karachi, Islamabad, Rohri, and promises were made, while people were seen reveling in the joy of the New Year.
In Karachi, a magnificent fireworks display was held at Port Grand and Governor House for 40 minutes.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori says that a world record for fireworks has been set. Another promise made to the public has been fulfilled, making Sindh the holder of another world record.
On the other hand, New Year celebrations were also held in Rawalpindi and Lahore. People reveled and organized concerts. Celebrations also continued at F-8 and private housing societies in the city of power, Islamabad.
In Quetta, fireworks and aerial firing were also set in different areas of the city to celebrate the arrival of the New Year. On this occasion, prayers and worship were offered in churches for the New Year.
In addition, Kashmiris welcomed the New Year at Zero Point Keran LoC on Bhinyo Air Night in Azad Kashmir, and fireworks were also displayed. A large number of citizens and tourists participated in the ceremony.
Citizens in other cities of the country including Hyderabad and Gujranwala also celebrated the New Year and offered special prayers on the arrival of the New Year.
It is pertinent to note that a ban on fireworks was imposed in various cities of Punjab, including Lahore, to avoid smog, while Section 144 is in force in various cities.
