Karachi: More than one kilogram of heroin was recovered from a passenger traveling to Jeddah at Karachi Airport.
A spokesperson for the Airport Security Force (ASF) said that at Karachi Airport, ASF personnel detected the presence of drugs in the luggage of Amjad Ali—a passenger traveling from Karachi to Jeddah. The drugs were skillfully hidden in a soup packaging.
The professional ASF personnel foiled the smuggling attempt by recovering 1.060 kilograms of heroin after searching the passenger’s luggage.
After preliminary investigation, the accused was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) authorities along with the recovered drugs for further legal action.
