Five arrested in ANF operation against drug smuggling
More than 10kg of drugs worth more than Rs1.8 million were recovered
Islamabad: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested five suspects in operations against drug smuggling.
According to the ANF spokesperson, more than 10kg of drugs worth more than Rs1.8 million were recovered in the operations.
The ANF spokesperson said that 1.605kg of drugs were recovered from the possession of an accused in Korangi, Karachi and he has also confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
According to the ANF spokesperson, 3.6kg of gold was recovered from the possession of the accused in Sector G-9, Islamabad, 3.6kg of hashish was recovered from the accused near Khan Chowk, Quetta, while 1kg of ice was recovered from the accused near Bhuwana Chowk on Jhang Road, Faisalabad.
The ANF spokesperson further said that 500 grams of heroin hidden in six bags near Bahria Town in Islamabad was recovered and the accused was arrested.
According to the ANF spokesperson, cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act and an investigation has been initiated.
