KP Info Advisor Barrister Dr Saif reached Kohat to see off first convoy


Peshawar: After the implementation of the peace agreement in Kurram, the closure of roads has been lifted and normal life has resumed. The first convoy carrying food items left for Parachinar from Tal.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Dr Saif reached Kohat to see off the first convoy and sent the convoy to the border area of Kurram, Chapri.
The first convoy of vehicles carrying food items and supplies left for Parachinar from Tal on the guarantee of the peace committees established under the Kurram peace agreement. The relief goods include flour, sugar, and other food items. The vehicles are being brought to Parachinar under a security cordon.
It is pertinent to note that the Kohat Jirga had decided to open the road after the peace agreement.
Peace committees consisting of local people, and tribal and political leadership have been formed to restore peace in Kurram. The peace committees include people from all sects and jurisprudence.
The local peace committee includes 27 members from Lower Kurram, including former MNA Pir Haider Ali Shah, Abi Faizullah, and Hussain Ali. 48 members from Upper Kurram, including former Senator Sajjad Hussain Turi, MPA Ali Hadi, and Muzammil Shah.
