Karachi: Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu said that we must be ready at all times to deal with various challenges at the global level.

Addressing the passing out parade ceremony of Navy cadets in Karachi, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu said: “I am grateful for being invited as the chief guest. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is stabilizing the balance of power in the region. The Pakistan Naval Academy is among the best institutions in the world”.

He stated that discipline in the parade is a manifestation of high training. He congratulated all the cadets who have passed. The Pakistan Navy is playing a key role in protecting the maritime borders. It is our responsibility to maintain balance in the region, and we have to face all the challenges.

He added that modern technology has been made an essential part of the training courses. “We have to be ready at all times to deal with various challenges at the global level. A strong economy is necessary for a strong defense. Pakistan’s economy is getting stronger day by day by the grace of Allah”.

The Air Chief Marshal further said that training in the use of modern weapons and technology is necessary. The international community should play a role in resolving the Kashmir issue and urge India to stop the atrocities in Kashmir, human rights are being violated in Gaza.

Earlier, the passing out parade of the 122nd Midshipman, 30th Short Service Commission Course was held at the Pakistan Naval Academy, in which Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu attended as the chief guest and inspected the parade. The passing-out cadets performed the best march past and saluted. The national anthem was also sung in the passing-out parade.

79 officers received commission in the Pakistan Navy, including 50 Midshipmen and 29 SSC course officers. Commandant Wajahat Javed administered the oath to the passing out cadets. The 79 passing-out cadets took the oath of service, loyalty, and duty to Pakistan.
