Police say that intermittent firing is continuing in Lower Kurram


District Kurram: Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud was injured in firing on a vehicle in Lower Kurram.
According to the district administration, a shooting incident on a vehicle of the district administration in Bagan area of Lower Kurram took place, resulting in injury to Deputy Commissioner Javedullah.
The district administration says that the injured Deputy Commissioner has been shifted to the hospital, however, it is also reported that Deputy Commissioner Kurram—who was injured in the firing—is being shifted to Peshawar by helicopter.
Police say that intermittent firing is continuing in the Bagan area of Lower Kurram.
According to the police, three FC personnel were also injured in the firing in Bagan, and have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
The district administration says that the convoy is to leave from Tall tehsil of Hangu, but the convoy has not left yet. They will leave after consultation and assessment of the situation.
It is pertinent to note that a few days ago, a peace agreement was reached between the parties on the Kurram dispute, under which the Tall Parachinar highway was to be opened today after three months.
In this regard, KP Information Advisor Barrister Saif said that 75 vehicles will be sent to Kurram in the first convoy under the security fence.
