IT and telecom sectors are priority areas of SIFC

Islamabad: The global digital operator VEON Group has invested $15 million in Pakistan's telecom sector to bring about a technological revolution with the support of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
The IT and telecom sectors are among the priority areas of SIFC.
VEON Group's investment will pave the way for small and medium enterprise financing in Pakistan.
The SIFC operates as a principal decision-making platform aimed at leading ‘structural reforms’ within the economy.
