Gandapur's non-bailable arrest warrant upheld in audio leak case

Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court Islamabad upheld the decision to issue a non-bailable arrest warrant against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the audio leak case.

The hearing of the audio leak case against KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was held in the District Sessions Court during which Ali Amin and his lawyer did not appear.

The court upheld the non-bailable arrest warrant of KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and canceled the non-bailable arrest warrant of co-accused Asad Farooq when he appeared.

Later, the District and Sessions Court adjourned the further hearing of the case till January 25.

It is pertinent to note that in 2022, an alleged audio of Ali Amin with a person regarding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) long march was leaked, in which he was asking how many guns were there. To which the other person says that there are many.
