Flight operations were also affected due to fog at Lahore airport

Lahore: The plains of Punjab, including Lahore, were engulfed in dense fog. The motorway was closed at several places, and flight operations at Lahore Airport were also affected.
According to the Motorway Police spokesperson, motorways are closed at several places due to dense fog. M2 from Lahore to Kot Momin and M4 from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad are prohibited from entering traffic, while the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway M11 has been closed due to fog.
In addition, fog reigned in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and other cities, and drivers face difficulties due to reduced visibility on national highways.
The Motorway Police spokesperson said that motorways are closed to ensure public safety and safe travel. Lane violations in fog can cause accidents. Road users should ensure lane discipline in fog, and citizens should prefer to travel during daylight hours as much as possible.
Flight operations were also affected due to fog at the airport in Lahore. Several flights were diverted to Islamabad. A Qatar Airways flight was also unable to land in Lahore, causing inconvenience to passengers.
