Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released a report on workers’ remittances for December 2024.
According to the SBP, overseas Pakistanis sent home $3.07 billion in December 2024, a 29 percent increase from December 2023.
The State Bank says that Pakistanis sent $770 million from Saudi Arabia and $630 million from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Similarly, $450 million was sent from the UK, $360 million from Europe, and $280 million from the US.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, Pakistanis sent 33 percent more money in the first half of the current fiscal year.
Pakistanis have sent home $17.84 billion in the last six months.
