Pakistan to launch EO-1 satellite on Jan 17
Satellite will be launched into space from satellite center in China

Islamabad: Pakistan’s space agency Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has made significant progress in space technology.
SUPARCO has announced the launch of its indigenously developed Electro-Optical (EO-1) satellite on January 17.
The satellite will be launched into space from a satellite center in China.
A SUPARCO spokesperson said that Pakistan’s indigenous EO-1 satellite is a major step in space exploration.
The spokesperson stated that the satellite is ready for launch to advance national development.
This satellite is designed to help in disaster response and agriculture, he added.
He further said that EO-1 is also designed to help in urban planning.
According to SUPARCO, this satellite will help in food security and water management while increasing the monitoring of natural resources across the country.
