Terrorists wanted to spread fear and panic among the public


Lahore: Because of the concerns of terrorism, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted 200 Intelligence-Based Operations (IBO) in different cities of Punjab in which 23 terrorists were arrested.
According to the CTD spokesperson, the operations were carried out in Lahore, Jhelum, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Mianwali, Sargodha, and Faisalabad. Seven dangerous terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij have been arrested from Lahore along with weapons and explosive materials. Maps of an important educational institution in Lahore have also been recovered from the terrorists.
The spokesperson said that the terrorists have been identified as Abdul Razaq, Muhammad Ismail, Wajahat Ali, Yousaf Raza, Naseemullah, Nazarullah, Abu Bakr, Tariq, Naseem Zaman, and Shahid Nawaz, etc.
According to CTD officials, the terrorists wanted to spread fear and panic among the public by carrying out operations at various locations. During 9,471 combing operations this week, 1,033 suspects were arrested and 21,708 people were questioned.
