Best travel times during fog are from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Lahore: Due to dense fog, various motorway sections of Lahore, Sialkot, and Rahim Yar Khan have been closed to traffic.
According to Motorway Police Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed, Motorway M2 from Lahore to Haran Minar, Motorway M11 from Sialkot to Lahore and Motorway M5 from Rahim Yar Khan to Rohri have been closed due to fog to ensure the safety and safe travel of the public.
The Motorway Police Spokesperson said that lane violations in fog can lead to accidents, so road users have been requested to ensure lane discipline.
The spokesperson advised citizens to prefer traveling during daylight hours as much as possible, while the best travel times during fog are from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Additionally, drivers have been instructed to use front and rear fog lights to better see other vehicles while traveling.
Motorway police have also appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary travel and have instructed them to refrain from speeding.
