Multan: The stage is set at Multan Cricket Stadium as Pakistan and the West Indies prepare for the first Test of a two-match series, starting on Friday.
This series holds significant meaning: it marks the West Indies’ first Test series on Pakistani soil since 2006 and serves as the final series for both teams in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle.
At a pre-match press conference on Thursday at Multan Cricket Stadium, Pakistan’s captain Shan Masood expressed his determination to end the current ICC World Test Championship cycle on a high note. He emphasized that Test cricket is not just about talent, but about adapting to challenges.
“We are focused on finishing strong, and the team is prepared to fight hard,” Masood said. “Every Test match carries immense importance, and we are determined to give our best to win the series.”
