Rohit Sharma will be captain and Shubman Gill vice-captain


Mumbai: India has announced a 15-member squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy.
Indian team captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the squad during a press conference.
Rohit Sharma will captain the team in the Champions Trophy and Shubman Gill will be the vice-captain.
The 15-member squad of the Indian team includes Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Harik Pandya.
Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arsdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja are also part of the squad.
The ICC Champions Trophy will begin on February 19 with a match between Pakistan and New Zealand. The Indian team will play its first match in the event against Bangladesh in Dubai on February 20, while the matches between Pakistan and India will be played under the hybrid model.
