Israel released a list of 90 Palestinian prisoners released from various prisons
Gaza: 90 Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli prisons under the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
According to foreign media reports, Hamas handed over the first three Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross on Sunday under the ceasefire agreement.
Later, Israel released a list of 90 Palestinian prisoners released from various prisons under the ceasefire agreement, including 69 women and 21 children.
The Red Cross was verifying the Palestinian prisoners released under the ceasefire agreement at Ofer Prison in Israel. After which 90 Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli prisons.
According to the news agency, the released Palestinian prisoners were given a warm welcome upon reaching the West Bank.
The report said that the Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli prisons reached the West Bank city of Beitunia in two buses.
A Palestinian student who is among the 90 prisoners released by Israel told the news agency that conditions during her detention were terrible and she had limited access to food and water.
Hamas says the next prisoner exchange will take place next week on January 25, while Israeli media reports that four hostages will be released from Gaza in the exchange.
On the other hand, Israeli media are commenting on the situation in Gaza after the ceasefire.
According to Israeli media reports, Hamas activists are seen on the streets in Gaza. Hamas is seen emerging from tunnels in Gaza and regaining control, and Hamas resistance fighters are seen patrolling in pickup trucks in videos.
Israeli media says that Hamas police are reorganizing and taking over Gaza, and Hamas police are making progress in restoring peace and order in Gaza.
The Israeli newspaper said in its commentary that the Palestinian media is presenting the ceasefire as a victory for Hamas. Hamas is following a strategy to maintain control over Gaza. The Israeli army eliminated 20 Hamas battalions, but they were not destroyed.
It is pertinent to note that according to the Palestinian Health Department, 47,899 Palestinians, including thousands of children and women, were martyred in the 15-month-old Israeli war on Gaza, while more than 110,000 Palestinians are injured and thousands are missing.
