Matriculation subject groups increased in Punjab

Lahore: In a major change in the education system of Punjab, the number of subject groups in Matric has increased.

Allied Health Sciences, Agriculture, Information Technology and Entrepreneurship groups have also been included in the Matric subjects.

These new groups will be taught from the new academic year.

Secretary of Schools Education Punjab Khalid Nazir said that schools teaching health sciences will be near DHQ and THQ hospitals.

He stated that the maximum marks in the Matric exams will remain 1100. Students will choose the subject group at the beginning of the ninth grade.
