Armed man stabbed three citizens on Nahalat Binyamin Street


Tel Aviv: Four people were injured in a knife attack by an armed man in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv.
According to the news agency, four people were injured in a knife attack in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, while the attacker was shot dead by a citizen.
Police said that initial investigations have revealed that a man armed with a knife stabbed three citizens on Nahalat Binyamin Street and one on Groznyberg Street, while the attacker was also killed by a citizen's bullet.
Police have cordoned off the area and the injured have been taken to hospital.
According to foreign media, the attacker has been identified as an American citizen of Moroccan origin who entered Israel as a tourist a few days ago.
The news agency reported that Hamas, without claiming responsibility for the incident, called the attack a heroic act in a statement and said that it is proof of the growing resistance against Israel.
According to the report, this was the second knife attack in Tel Aviv in the past four days. Earlier, another attacker seriously injured a man on Saturday after he was shot by an armed citizen.
