Mohsin Naqvi, US Congressmen agree to promote bilateral relations

Washington: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Congressman Thomas Richard Swasey and Congressman Jack Bergman, in which it was agreed to promote Pak-US relations.

Congressman Thomas Richard belongs to the Democratic Party, while Congressman Jack Bergman belongs to the Republican Party.

In a meeting with Pakistan Caucus member Thomas Richard Swasey and co-chair Jack Bergman in Washington, matters of mutual interest, Pak-US relations, and other important issues were discussed, and the situation in Afghanistan was also discussed.

It was agreed in the meeting to promote Pak-US relations. Interior Minister Mohsin also invited Congressman Thomas Swasey and Congressman Jack Bergman to visit Pakistan.

On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that the United States is a very important economic and defense partner of Pakistan. ‘We value American cooperation for the improvement of Pakistan's social sectors, and Pakistan attaches special importance to bilateral relations with the United States’.

He stated that he wants more cooperation with the United States in all fields, and their visit to Pakistan will help further strengthen bilateral relations.

Congressman Thomas Swazy said that he is determined to further strengthen relations with Pakistan and will visit Pakistan soon. In the meeting, it was also decided to hold a Pakistani Caucus Conference in Washington, DC on April 30.

Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh was also present on the occasion.
