Attempt to smuggle weapons from Afghanistan to Pakistan fails

Islamabad: An attempt to smuggle a large consignment of foreign weapons from Afghanistan into Pakistan was foiled. Security forces recovered modern foreign weapons and magazines from the truck during the operation.

According to details, security forces on the Pak-Afghan border achieved great success and foiled an attempt to smuggle a large consignment of foreign weapons into Pakistan.

On January 8, 2025, security forces seized an arms-carrying truck at the Ghulam Khan border terminal adjacent to the Pak-Afghan border, in which modern foreign weapons and magazines were recovered.

The recovered weapons included 26 M16 rifles, 292 magazines of M16 and M4 rifles, and more than 10,000 bullets. In addition to nine Kalashnikov magazines and 244 bullets, 744 light machine gun bullets and a large number of linkers were also recovered.

According to media reports, the weapons were secretly hidden in the driver's cabin of the truck. The goods were packed in Afghanistan. These weapons were to be used for terrorist acts in Pakistan.

Defense experts say that the presence of the leadership of Fitna al-Khawarij and its affiliated terrorists in Afghanistan is clear evidence of the collusion between the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij.

According to experts, it is clear that the Afghan check posts are facilitating the Fitna al-Khawarij. The recovery of the weapons shipment is also proof that the Khawarij are doing all this under the umbrella of the Afghan Taliban.

Defense experts further say that Pakistan had opened its border terminals to reduce the economic difficulties of Afghan citizens. The Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij are also enmity with the Afghan people by promoting terrorism.

They further said that such heinous acts have created further difficulties for the deprived and economically weak Afghan businessmen. For the good of ordinary Afghan citizens, they must demand the Afghan Taliban some action against the Fitna al-Khawarij.
