PM orders to make Islamabad model regarding healthcare facilities

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to make Islamabad a model for the entire country in terms of health facilities.

A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shehbaz Sharif on the Ministry of National Health Affairs, which was attended by the relevant officials.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister also directed to develop the health system under the federal government on modern lines and to make Islamabad a model for the entire country in terms of health facilities.

Shehbaz Sharif directed to expedite the work of Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Center and to start the pre-qualification process for the purchase of machinery and equipment for the complex, and said that the pre-qualification process should be completed under the supervision of an expert consultant.

He stated that a third-party audit should be conducted for the construction work of Jinnah Medical Complex and the purchase of machinery and equipment.

The Prime Minister also ordered to start the process of approving the charter for the university affiliated with Jinnah Medical Complex.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the government is working on a priority basis for access to health facilities.
