Police stated that anti-polio team personnel remained safe


Khyber: An anti-polio team was fired upon in the Bakrabad area of Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In this regard, the police said that a policeman was martyred as a result of the firing.
The police stated that the anti-polio team personnel were safe from the firing.
It is pertinent to note that the anti-polio campaign is ongoing across the country.
The first anti-polio campaign of this year has also begun in Sindh from today.
According to the spokesperson of the Emergency Operation Center (EOC), the campaign has set a target of vaccinating more than 16 million children in Sindh against polio.
The seven-day anti-polio campaign will continue till February 9 in all 30 districts of Sindh in which more than 81,000 volunteers are participating.
