WABeta reveals view-once photos, videos for linked devices
Feature is available in WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.25.3.7

WhatsApp has recently resolved an issue affecting its 'View Once' privacy feature, and is now working on an update that will enable this feature to function on linked devices as well. As a privacy-focused feature, WhatsApp has certain restrictions on disappearing photos and videos, but this new update aims to extend its functionality across linked devices.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently testing the 'View Once' feature on linked devices. The feature is available in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.25.3.7, which is rolling out on the Play Store for public beta testers. However, this feature may not be accessible to all testers just yet.
In a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, users can see 'View Once' media on linked devices. Previously, if you received a disappearing photo or video, you had to return to your primary device to view it. With this new update, you'll be able to open such media directly on linked devices as well.

For those unfamiliar with linked devices, this feature allows you to use your WhatsApp account on another device by simply scanning a QR code from your primary phone. This setup enables you to access WhatsApp on any device without needing to log in separately. It's important to note that linked devices differ from companion mode, as linked devices still rely on your primary phone to stay connected.
Currently, this update is available only for beta testers on Android. If you're part of the beta group, you can download the latest version from the Play Store to test out the new feature. Since it's already available for public beta, the feature will likely be rolled out to stable versions soon.
