Washington: US President Donald Trump has announced a long-term occupation of the Gaza Strip.
President Donald Trump, while holding a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, said that the United States will occupy the Gaza Strip and own it. The aim is to bring stability to the region and create thousands of jobs.
US President Trump stated: “I see a long-term ownership position in Gaza to develop it. We will provide jobs for the people of the region and settle the citizens”.
Trump added that under the plan, the leaders of Jordan and Egypt will provide space for the Palestinians. ‘I spoke to other Middle Eastern leaders, they liked the idea of transferring Palestinians from Gaza’.
President Trump further said that he will visit Israel, Gaza, and Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia will be very helpful. ‘We hope that the ceasefire continues and many countries will soon join the Abraham Accords’.
Trump also stated that in his meeting with Netanyahu, they discussed how to ensure the elimination of Hamas. The process of rebuilding and occupying Gaza should not be carried out by the same people.
The US president also said that he would like to make a deal with Iran. If it turns out that Iran has nuclear weapons, it will be a source of misfortune for them.
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that US President Donald Trump's plan, under which the United States will take control of the Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip, could change history.
The Israeli prime minister stated that Trump sees a different future for Gaza, it is noteworthy and could change history.
In addition, Netanyahu said that Donald Trump and he wanted to ensure that Iran never develops nuclear weapons.
