Initiative aims to provide better economic opportunities to youth and enable them to compete in int'l job market


Islamabad: Under the Prime Minister Youth Scheme, loans of up to Rs1 million will be provided to those seeking employment abroad.
According to a report, Prime Minister Youth Program Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that loans of up to Rs1 million will be provided to those traveling abroad for employment to help with training, visa, travel expenses, and initial settlement expenses.
Moreover, important steps have been taken under this scheme for those seeking employment abroad.
Rana Mashhood said that this initiative aims to provide better economic opportunities to young people and enable them to compete in the international job market.
He stated that loans worth more than Rs186 billion have been disbursed under the Prime Minister Youth Loan Scheme so far, which is a testament to the success of this initiative and the confidence of the youth in it.
He added that the government is committed to providing maximum opportunities to the youth to improve their future and play a positive role in the development of the country.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the expansion of the Youth Loan Scheme in a statement issued on Tuesday. According to the notification issued, in addition to business loans, youth will now be able to get loans for laptops.
This initiative aims to provide opportunities for better educational and professional development to the youth so that they can enhance their skills and play an active role in national development, stated the notification.
They added that under this scheme, students between the ages of 18 and 30 who are enrolled in institutions approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) will be eligible to get laptop loans, which will help them meet their educational needs.
The government is considering introducing further reforms to expand this scheme so that more benefits can be ensured for the youth of the country. This initiative will increase education and employment opportunities and promote economic stability.
