Hafiz Naeem calls for formation of judicial commission to probe alleged poll rigging

Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will observe a black day on February 8, according to the party’s chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman. He announced that the party will hold a strong protest outside the Election Commission's office in Karachi.
Hafiz Naeem also called for the formation of a judicial commission to address the issue and suggested that decisions should be based on Form 45. He claimed that the government is not serious about resolving the matter, and the opposition is not willing to take action based on the discrepancies in the election results.
The JI chief expressed concerns that suggesting new elections would only strengthen the government and endorse the alleged rigging in the previous polls.
Hafiz Naeem has been vocal about the alleged electoral fraud in the 2024 elections, which took place on February 8 last year. He resigned from his Sindh Assembly seat in Karachi, citing irregularities in the vote count that benefited his opponent.
