Operational speed of this bus is 100km per hour and capacity of 40 passengers

Dubai: Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) launched a new solar-powered ‘railbus’ today on the occasion of the World Government Summit.
According to a Gulf News report, RTA says that the operational speed of this bus is 100 kilometers per hour while it has a capacity of 40 passengers.
What is a railbus?
A railbus is a lightweight railcar that will travel via railway lines. The railbus service is a modern and environmentally friendly ride, which is presented as an environmentally friendly, efficient, and low-cost alternative to the available means of transportation.
It is pertinent to note that the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Railbus in January 2024 to develop a railbus system, which travels on a bridge equipped with solar panels to generate the electricity needed for the project.
