JUI-F chief says that there has been no progress on registration of madrasas

Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja should step down so that new individuals can come in.
Speaking to journalists in Islamabad, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that the government is a product of rigging, and he has reservations about it. He claimed that the Chief Election Commissioner has not fulfilled his responsibilities properly and that the Chief Election Commissioner has completely failed.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman further added that expecting fair elections from the current Chief Election Commissioner would be foolish, and Sikander Sultan Raja should step down to allow new people to take charge.
Regarding the meeting between the IMF delegation and the Chief Justice, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that this is a historic event for both Pakistan and the world. The meeting indicates that there is a direct link between the economy and justice, and the IMF has concerns about our judicial system.
The JUI leader also stated that there has been no progress on the registration of madrasas, and both the federal and provincial governments should fulfill their responsibilities without any external pressure.
