Travelers who are transiting through Saudi Arabia for less than 12 hours do not need to get vaccine

(Web Desk): The Saudi government has introduced new rules that are causing problems at airports. The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority (GACA) has announced that all travelers to Saudi Arabia must now get a polio vaccination.
According to a statement from Abdullah Khan, a spokesperson for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), travelers must receive the polio vaccine at least four weeks before flying, but no more than six months before. This rule applies to everyone traveling to Saudi Arabia, whether they are on an Umrah visa, a tourist visa, or have an Iqama (residence permit).
However, travelers who are transiting through Saudi Arabia for less than 12 hours do not need to get the vaccine.
Khan also emphasized that the vaccination certificate must be stamped by either a government or private hospital. Travelers must carry this certificate with them to the airport, as those without it will not be allowed to board flights to Saudi Arabia. These rules will be applied at all airports and by all airlines, he said.
