CJP Yahya Afridi administered oath of office to the new judges


Islamabad: Six new judges who were promoted from lower courts to the Supreme Court took oath of office.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi administered the oath of office to the new judges.
The judges who took the oath of office include Justice Aamer Farooq, Justice Hashim Kakar, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, Justice Shakeel Ahmed, Justice Shafi Siddiqui, and Justice Salahuddin Panhor.
In addition, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb also took oath as an acting judge of the Supreme Court. CJP Yahya Afridi administered the oath to Justice Miangul Hassan.
Islamabad High Court (IHC) Judge Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, the Attorney General, lawyers, law officers, and court staff were also present at the oath-taking ceremony.
