Due to tense situation in Lower Kurram, convoy was stopped at Tal


Peshawar: Armed men once again opened fire on a convoy of relief goods in the Kurram district, after which the relief vehicles were also looted.
According to police, attackers opened fire on a convoy of trucks consisting of 100 vehicles in the Uchet area of Kurram district.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers opened fire on the convoy from seven locations and started looting the vehicles. During this, the security forces responded immediately and returned fire on the elements involved in the looting through a gunship helicopter.
Due to the tense situation in Lower Kurram, the convoy was stopped at Tal, and the firing by the attackers is still ongoing.
It is pertinent to note that the convoy consisting of 100 vehicles had left for Kurram from Tal.
On the other hand, the process of dismantling the bunkers of the warring parties under the Kohat Peace Agreement in the Kurram district is also progressing rapidly. According to the district administration, the fronts in Lower Kurram and Upper Kurram are being demolished to ensure lasting peace in the area.
